Restore and Replace Fire Pump Equipment

Trinity Church's current Peerless horizontal split case pump, jockey pump, and Firetrol controller date back to 1946.

The pump was in dire need of service; packing gland drip wells were full of water, the pump base showed considerable rust and corrosion, and overall the equipment was in poor shape. We stripped, sand blasted, overhauled, dynamically balanced and re-painted the original Peerless pump. The motor was disassembled, steam cleaned and baked tested. The bearings changed, tolerances checked and equipment laser aligned to within 0.001”. The final repairs returned the equipment to manufacturer’s original specifications and tolerances.

All repair work was completed in our White Plains service facility and then reinstalled and returned to service on an expedited basis.

A new Grundfos jockey pump and Firetrol control panel completed the updates at Trinity Church.
