To decouple the aeration and mixing functions in the wastewater plant oxidation ditches while upgrading equipment for greater efficiencies and process control.
The initial repair of the facility’s rotor type aeration quickly became an upgrade of the aeration and mixing systems. Sanitaire provided a design to the town’s engineer, Delaware Engineering. The Xylem-Sanitaire BioLoop System includes Kaeser blowers, Sanitaire diffusers and controls and Flygt submersible mixers.
The Village of Liberty Utility Director, John Picard, retained TAM Enterprises for the immediate system repairs. Fleet also has a relationship with TAM Enterprises, the eventual contractor for the upgrade project.
Working closely with TAM, Fleet received an order directly from the Village of Liberty to expedite the Flygt submersible mixers needed for immediate installation in order to keep the plant in compliance while the new design was bid and implemented through two construction phases.
The Sanitaire equipment supplied by GA Fleet is now a critical part of the plant’s increased stability of operation, ease of maintenance and overall energy efficiency improvements.
